  • created a theme for Momentum’s 2019-2020 year-end show based on a Chinese folktale, focusing on the importance of honesty and also teaching the children about the Chinese culture

  • researched extensively about all aspects of Chinese culture and organized the information into a spreadsheet to help the staff also learn about the culture

  • wrote an original script based on the folktale that included references to Chinese culture in order to help the children and the audience learn about the culture

    • worked with a local professional voiceover actor to record the narration for the show

  • workshopped a shortened version of the show during Momentum University, Momentum’s summer camp

    • coordinated guest speakers who gave presentations about different aspects of Chinese culture including martial arts, dance, history, cuisine, music, tea ceremony, & medicine

    • conducted a lecture about China to give the children a basic knowledge about the country

    • created costuming appropriate for each lead character
